Gary P. Shaner

Gary P. Shaner, 61, of Muncy, died Friday, Aug. 8, 2014, of injuries he sustained from a motor vehicle accident in Pennsville, N.J.

Born Sept. 29, 1952, in Muncy, he was a son of the late Dean P. and Betty J. Motter Shaner.

Gary was employed at Andritz, Muncy, for over 37 years. He enjoyed playing golf and drag racing.

Surviving are two daughters, Shawna M. Shaner-Young, of Montoursville and Melissa L. Shaner, of Picture Rocks; a brother, Robert L. Shaner, of Salisbury, Md.; and five grandchildren, Haylee Young, Courtenie Young, Alysa Young, Cayden Eichenlaub and Elliot Eichenlaub.

Friends called from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 17, at the McCarty-Thomas Funeral Home, 557 E. Water St., Hughesville. Burial was held at the convenience of the family in Mt. Zion Cemetery.
