Marvin R. King
Marvin R. King, 80, New Columbia, entered into eternal rest Sunday, Aug. 10, 2014, at Geisinger Medical Center.
Born March 5, 1934, in Muncy, he was the son of the late Edmund C. and Florence M. (Robinson) King.
He was employed at the White Deer Golf Club, Jasper Wood Products and Slim’s Salvage in New Columbia. Earlier in his life, Marvin farmed and worked in the woods.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, trapping, reading, watching sports and playing cards.
Surviving are his long-time companion, Sharon Clark, of New Columbia; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Carolyn I. Fisher, of Bethlehem, Pa., Tammy M. and Jason L. Rauch, of New Columbia and Eileen R. and Shawn J. Hutton, of West Milton; three grandsons; three granddaughters; one great-grandson; a brother, Harold L. King, of Elimsport; and two sisters, Esther Bower, who resides at Watsontown Health & Rehab and Hannah Buck, of Allenwood.
He was preceded in death by a son, Christopher King, who died March 2, 2014; four brothers, William, George, Floyd, and Earl King; and two sisters, Mary Staggert and Annetta Buck.
Services and burial were held at the family’s convenience at a later date.
