John N. Robbins
John N. Robbins, 56, of Benton, went to be with the Lord Wednesday, Sept. 10, 2014, at the Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
John was born March 2, 1958, a son of the late Norman and Erla (Rider) Robbins, and in addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Donald Robbins on April 21, 2005.
John was a graduate of Hughesville High School, Class of 1976. He presently worked for Del Monte in Limeridge, and previously for Donald Robbins Logging Unityville, Triple J. Lumber Muncy Valley, Young Industries Muncy, Jack McClintock Logging Muncy Valley and Integrity Builders Milton. He was an avid outdoorsman. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family, especially his four grandchildren. He enjoyed working on automobiles and tractors. He enjoyed riding his (go buggy) Kawasaki mule with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley (Minier) Robbins, they were married on Dec. 19, 1981; daughter, Amy Gray and her husband, Jeremy, of Unityville; a son, Jason Robbins and his wife, Lisa, of Benton; four grandchildren, Logan and Parker Robbins and Corbin and Colton Gray; brother, Thomas Robbins and his wife, Kathy, of Muncy Valley; and a sister-in-law, Tisha Robbins, of Benton.
Services were 10 a.m. Monday, Sept. 15, 2014, at Bunnell Funeral Home Inc., 179 E. Main St., Millville, with the Rev. James Harvey officiating. Burial was at Talmar Cemetery, Benton.
