Thelma M. Eck
Thelma M. Eck, 84, of 97 Mt. Equity Rd., Pennsdale, died Wednesday, September 3, 2014 at her home.
Born April 10, 1930 in Williamsport, she was a daughter of the late Philip and Frances (Cross) Tudor. On August 12, 1950 she married Robert C. Eck, who preceded her in death on September 26, 2002. Together they celebrated 52 years of marriage.
A high school graduate, Thelma spent most of her life raising and taking care of her family.
She was a member of the Church of the Resurrection, Muncy.
Thelma enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed serving her community, most notably helping with the Pennsdale Fire Company bingo. She enjoyed sports; above all football and the Little League World Series. Thelma was loved by all who knew her.
Surviving are two daughters and sons-in-law, Susan and Craig Seybert, of Muncy and Barbara and Donald Reese, of Pennsdale; one daughter-in-law, Phyllis Eck, of MN.; six grandchildren, Beth Dibble and husband Greg, Laura Seybert Wallis, Ryan Reese and wife Angie, Derek Reese and wife Heather, Nathan Eck and Matthew Eck; and four great-grandchildren, Quintin and Harper Dibble and Cayden and Ellie Reese.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by one son, Howard Eck; two brothers, William and Robert Tudor; and three sisters, Eleanor Stroble, Clara Zieliewicz and Irene McCracken.
Friends were received from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the Church of the Resurrection, 75 Musser Lane, Muncy, where a Mass of Christian Burial was held at 11 a.m., with her pastor, the Rev. Glenn McCreary, officiating.
Burial followed in Resurrection Cemetery, Montoursville.
The family provided the flowers and suggests memorial contributions be made to the Pennsdale Fire Company, 261 Village Rd., Pennsdale, PA 17756
