Emma C. Johnson
Emma C. Johnson, of Muncy, passed away peacefully in her home on Aug. 29, 2014, surrounded by her granddaughters, Tamera Wyatte-Cieslikowski and Vic Wyatte.
Emma was born on March 1, 1916, in West Chester, to the late Carolyn Caruthers Roth and also the late Norman Young Roth Sr., of West Chester. Emma was the owner of A-Jay Plastics in Kinzers, Pa. She loved to live on her farm in Canton for many years. She loved to cook, can, sew and have her family around her. She was an avid hunter and fisherwoman. Everyone was welcomed at her home.
Emma was preceded in death by both of her children, Janet Onks and Larry Johnson; her husband, Lawrence Johnson; her three brothers, William Roth, Norman Roth Young Jr., Milton Roth; and her sisters, Betty Roth and Norma Charsha; as well as her grandchildren, Barbara Hoskins, of Coatesville, Rose Marie Thomas and Vincent Thomas, of Downingtown.
She is survived by her brother, John Roth, of Goshen, Ind., and her sister, Lydia Charsha, of Parkersburg. Emma has eight grandchildren, Janet Thomas, of Williamsport, Tamera Wyatte-Cieslikowski, of Muncy, Vincent Thomas, of Morris and Ruth Schenk of Muncy and Mark Johnson. Emma had 12 great-grandchildren, five great-great-grandchildren and three great-great-great-grandchildren.
There were no memorial services but a private gathering was held for the immediate family.
