Jean F. Harding
Jean F. Harding, 77, of Hughesville, died Monday, Sept. 22, 2014, at Susquehanna Health Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing Unit at Muncy Valley Hospital.
Born May 11, 1937, in Turbotville, she was a daughter of the late Cyril L. and Anna B. Leighow Moser.
Jean loved her cats and crocheting. However, her favorite pastime was talking on the phone to her friends.
Surviving are two daughters, Phyllis J. (Ernest) Temple. of Virginia Beach, Va. and Carol A. Kitchen of Waterford, Mich.; three sons, Douglas W. Sanders of Virginia Beach, Va., Michael E. (Kimberly) Sanders, of Watsontown and Kevin L. Sanders, of Hughesville; a sister, Anna Marie Shaner, of Smyrna, Tenn.; three brothers, Cyril Jr. (Harriet) Moser, of Isabella, Donald Moser, of Upland, Ca. and Ronald P. Sr. (Connie) Moser, of Montgomery; six grandchildren, Amy (Chris) Gregor, Chad (Lauren) Temple, Craig Temple, Brian Kitchen, Brittany Sanders and Natalie Sanders; two great-grandchildren, Ayden Temple and Jonathan Temple; three sisters-in-law, Sandra Moser, of Hughesville, June Moser, of Muncy and Rebecca Temple, of Hughesville; and a brother-in-law, Charles Sanders Sr., of Montgomery.
In addition to her parents, Jean was preceded in death by her first husband of 13 years, Howard E. Sanders Sr.; her second husband of nine years, LaRue W. Harding; an infant daughter, Cynthia K. Sanders; an infant son, Howard E. Sanders Jr.; and three brothers, Terry, Larry and Richard Moser.
Funeral services were held 11a.m. Monday, Sept. 29, at McCarty-Thomas Funeral Home, 557 E. Water Street, Hughesville, with Pastor Jane L. O’Borski officiating. Burial followed in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Hughesville. Friends called from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
