Doris M. Sampsell
Doris M. Sampsell, 87, of Main Street, Watsontown, passed away Friday, Oct. 3, 2014, at the Williamsport Regional Medical Center.
Born May 3, 1927, in Glen Mawr, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Carrie (Montague) Dentler.
Doris was a Valedictorian graduate of Hughesville High School, Class of 1945. She was a secretary first at the Prudential office in Williamsport, then Dr. David Fisher Chiropractic of Watsontown and Farmers National Bank of Watsontown.
She was a member of the First Lutheran Church of Watsontown. She loved spending time with her family.
Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Craig E. and his wife, Valerie, of Watsontown; a daughter and son-in-law, Debra L. Heater and her, husband, Ralph, of Watsontown; two grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and three stepgreat-grandchildren. Preceding her in death besides her parents are three sisters, Isabel Whipple, Marie Green and Eleanor Euler.
Friends were invited to call from 1 to 2 p.m. Wednesday at the First Lutheran Church, 400 Main St., Watsontown, where the funeral service was held at 2 p.m. with the Rev. James A. Fladland, her pastor, officiating. Burial followed in Paradise Cemetery, rural Turbotville.
The family suggests contributions in memory be made to the First Lutheran Church, Watsontown.
