E. Jeanette Lynch

E. Jeanette Lynch, 82, a resident of Elimsport, went to be with her Lord on Wednesday, Oct. 22, 2014, in The Gatehouse at Williamsport. Born in Elimsport, Lycoming County, on Monday, Nov. 30, 1931, she was the daughter of the late William and Lois (Dunn) McCormick. Nette was the wife of Robert Lynch Jr. with whom she celebrated a 63rd wedding anniversary on June 3, 2014.

Jeanette was a 1949 graduate of Montgomery-Clinton High School. She was employed as a secretary for the Montgomery Area School District and had also been employed as a clerk for Kenneth Young Auctioneers and as a secretary for Washington Township.

She was a member of the Elimsport United Methodist Church where she was an honorary member of the Administrative Council, a former member of the finance committee and a member of the prayer chain and the Christian Crusaders Sunday School Class. Jeanette participated in a local card club, enjoyed canning, puzzles, cooking, ceramics, bus trips and traveling.

In addition to her husband, Nette is survived by two sons, Jeffrey M. and wife Jill (Catherman) Lynch, of Elimsport, Rodney K. and wife Karen (Catherman) Lynch Sr., of Elimsport; one brother, Keith McCormick, of Elimsport; two sisters, Eleanor and husband Richard Taylor, of Elimsport, Norma Gresh, of Muncy; four grandchildren, Rodney Lynch, Jr., Matthew Lynch, Danielle Saylor, Nichole Pakoskey; and two great-grandchildren, Elise Pakoskey, Emma Lynch. Jeanette was preceded in death by one brother, William S. McCormick.

Funeral services will be conducted from the Elimsport United Methodist Church, 16145 State Route 44 Highway, Elimsport, at 11 a.m. today on Wednesday, Oct. 29, 2014, with Michael Hill, her pastor, officiating. Interment will be in the Elimsport Cemetery. Friends may call on Wednesday from 10 to 11 a.m. at the church. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Elimsport United Methodist Church, 16145 State Route 44 Highway, Allenwood, PA 17810.
