Richard L. ‘Rich’ Mincemoyer
Richard L. “Rich” Mincemoyer, 70, of R & S Farm Lane, Watsontown, passed away Saturday, Oct. 18, 2014, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
Born in Muncy on Sept. 15, 1944, he was the son of the late Lester C. and Ida Marie (Stahl) Mincemoyer. On Nov. 2, 1968, he married the former Sandy L. Hampe and they have celebrated 45 years of marriage.
A farmer all his life, Rich also owned and operated Mincemoyer’s Busing for many years. He was the caretaker of the Delaware Run Cemetery since his father’s death in 1998.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served during the Vietnam War, and a member of St. John’s “Delaware Run” Lutheran Church, Watsontown.
Surviving besides his wife, Sandy, are two sons and a daughter-in-law, Todd and Christy Mincemoyer, of Mechanicsburg and Trace Mincemoyer, of Watsontown; a daughter and son-in-law, Tanya and Brad Bensinger, of Jacobus; two granddaughters, Molly Mincemoyer and Luca Bensinger; two brothers, Ronald A. (Sandy) Mincemoyer and Delbert A. Mincemoyer, all of Watsontown; a sister, Vivian M. (Ronald) Wolfe, of Danville; and his stepmother, Betty L. Hitesman Mincemoyer, of Watsontown.
Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations in honor of Rich be made to St. John’s Lutheran Church, 6590 Musser Lane, Watsontown, PA 17777.
