Stanley E. Knorr

Stanley E. Knorr, 88, of Hughesville and formerly of Bloomsburg, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, Oct. 14, 2014, at Wolf Run Village in Hughesville.
He was born Jan. 4, 1926, in Blacksburg, Va., a son of the late Stanley E. and Ethel Mae (Eckroth) Knorr, in addition to his parents he was preceded in death by five brothers, Cecil, Raymond, Donald, Doyle and Claude; five sisters Florence Whitmire, Geraldine Bitler, Ethel Williams, Flora Lyons and Marie Dawn Knorr; and his wife, Beverly (Myers) Knorr.
Stanley attended Jerseytown Schools. He was a Weaver at Bloomsburg Carpet Co. and also Magee Carpet Co. A veteran of World War II, serving in the Navy he was very proud to serve his country. He enjoyed hunting and baseball. He liked football, going to a lot of college games. He enjoyed tinkering small engines, washers and refrigerators.
Stanley is survived by three sons, Ronald and his wife, Glenda, of Hughesville, Terry and his wife, Sandy, of Bloomsburg and Steven and his wife, Kathryn, of Mississippi; a daughter, Cindy Parker and her husband, Jeff, of Shoemakersville; seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Katherine Kennedy, of Valdez, Alaska and Lillie Mae Johnson and her husband, Loren, of Millville.
Family received friends Tuesday, Oct. 21, 2014, from 10 till 11 a.m. at Rodger T. Bunnell Funeral Home, 435 Market St., Bloomsburg PA 17815. Services will be at the convenience of family. Burial will be at Elan Memorial Park Lime Ridge.
