Ashley Elizabeth Glica

Ashley Elizabeth Glica, 29, of Muncy, entered into heaven after a brief battle with Leukemia. She was born Jan. 28, 1985, in Canton, Ohio, a daughter of Kim A. Boyer, of Hughesville and Luann (John) Mott Johanning, of New Port Richie, Fla. May 5, 2012, she married Thomas D. Glica, who survives.

Ashley graduated from Hughesville High School, Class of 2004 and had worked at Wolf Run Village, since it opened its doors, as a medical technician and caregiver. She was very involved with the residents she served, visiting them in the hospital and opening her home to those who needed a place to spend the holidays. While she was in high school, she sang in the choir, played in the band and was very involved in school plays and musicals. Ashley loved singing, cooking, canning, scrapbooking and spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents and husband, Ashley is survived by two daughters, Audrey Rose Hess, at home and Emily Grace Glica, Hershey Medical Center, as she was born Sept. 22, three months premature. She is also survived by a brother, Matthew Boyer, of Hughesville; paternal grandmother, Margaret Boyer, of Hughesville; two brothers-in-law, C.J. Glica, of Allentown and Brendan (Beth) Glica, of Unityville; and a niece and nephew.

A funeral service will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the McCarty-Thomas Funeral Home, 557 E. Water St., Hughesville, officiated by Pastor Cameron Watford. The interment will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in the Gordner’s Church Cemetery, 68 Gordner Church Road, Unityville. Memorial contributions may be made to www.gofundme.com/gwrxno.
