Danny L. Allen

Danny L. Allen, 44, of Benton, died Thursday Nov. 20, 2014, from injuries sustained in a car accident on Route 118 near Unityville. He was born July 17, 1970, in Bloomsburg, a son of Ruth A. (Lore) Allen, of Unityville and the late Clarence D. Allen Jr.

Danny owned and operated Danny Allen Construction for over 10 years. Earlier in life, he had worked for Muncy Homes, the Benton Foundry and the former Charles Sawmill and a partner in the former D & D Construction Co. He was a member of the Sonestown Legion and the Muncy Moose. Danny loved to hunt, fish, ride his Harley and spend time with his dogs and friends.

In addition to his mom, Danny is survived by a brother, Donald Allen, of Unityville; aunts and uncles, Delbert (Edith) Allen, of Unityville, Nancy (Guy) Harriman, of Unityville, Alice (Richard) Gotshall, of Catawissa, Lois (Henry) Stackhouse, of Unityville, Willard Lore, of Millville and Thomas Lore, of Pine Summit; a great-aunt, Jean Robbins, of Unityville; and many cousins.

A memorial service will be announced at a later time.
