Glenn Oliver Babb
Glenn Oliver Babb, 96, of Muncy, died Sunday Jan. 4, 2015, at the Skilled Nursing Unit of Muncy Valley Hospital. He was born Nov. 15, 1918, in Moreland Township, a son of the late James V. and Eva (Eichenlaub) Babb. He was married to Helen Geraldine Stackhouse, who is a resident at Skilled Nursing Unit of Muncy Valley Hospital.
He was a mechanic for Lyco Trucking and drove school bus for Calvin Myers Garage. He also enjoyed repairing lawn mowers at home. He served honorably in the U.S. Army during World War II and was very active in American Legion, Post 35, Hughesville.
In addition to his wife, Glenn is survived by two stepsons, Chester (Ola) Stackhouse, of Millville and Max (Sherry) Stackhouse, of Muncy; stepdaughter, JoeAnn Narber, of Unityville; and several nieces and nephews, including Shirley Fenstermacher, of Hughesville.
Glenn was preceded in death by a niece, Beverly Rider.
A graveside service was held at 10 a.m. Thursday in the Twin Hills Memorial Park, by Lucy Temple, CLM. Graveside military honors were accorded by combined military organizations.
