June E. Crawford

June E. Crawford, 79, of 215 E. Water St., Muncy, died Monday, Jan. 5, 2015, at Muncy Valley Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation Unit.

Born Jan. 9, 1935, in Burgettstown, she was a daughter of the late Donald Scott and Kathryn (Lake) Randolph. On Nov. 29, 1958, she married Paul David Crawford, who preceded her in death on Dec. 2, 1981.

June was a 1953 graduate of Watsontown High School. She retired in 1987 from GTE Sylvania, Montoursville, where she was employed for 27 years.

She loved animals, especially cats and dogs, and enjoyed reading. Most of all, June cherished spending time with her family.

Surviving are three sons and two daughters-in-law, Lorne David and Pala Crawford, of Muncy, James Grant Crawford and Maureen Ahmad, of Chapel Hill, N.J., and Peter Gregory Crawford, of Hughesville; a sister, Donna Sylvia Randolph; and six grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by one son, Jeffery Scott Crawford and one daughter, Juanita Marie Simpson.

The family greeted friends from 3 to 4 p.m. Friday at Grenoble’s, 121 S. Main St., Muncy, where a memorial service followed at 4 p.m. Officiating was Jim Girven, Lay Pastor of the Messiah Lutheran Church, Clarkstown. Interment was held at the convenience of the family in Twin Hills Memorial Park.

The family provided flowers and suggests memorial contributions be made to either the SPCA, 2805 Reach Road, Williamsport, PA 17701 or The American Cancer Society, Lycoming County Unit 1948 E. Third St., Williamsport, PA 17701.
