Linda A. “Nanna” Sherwood
Linda A. “Nanna” Sherwood, 72, of Unityville, died Thursday, Jan. 8, 2015, at Williamsport Regional Medical Center. Linda was born Jan. 1, 1943, in Montoursville, a daughter of the late Raymond “Lefty” and Thelma “Peg” (Fry) Wilson, of Montoursville. July 27, 1982, she married Murray Sherwood, who survives.
She was employed by the former GTE Sylvania, Pickelner Fuels, Williamsport, and the former Sonestown Ribbon Factory. She was very outgoing and loved spending time with her grandchildren, crafting, making afghans, painting, gardening, making wedding cakes, crocheting, hunting arrow heads, cooking and canning and was an animal lover. She was also known for her sauerkraut and turtle chowder.
In addition to her husband of 32 years, she is survived by two daughters: Bonnie L (Doug) Millheim, of Hughesville, Holly R. (Chas) Shellenberger, of Selinsgrove; and one son: Thomas L. (Dawn) Kimble, of Bloomsburg; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brother: Wayne L. (Joyce) Wilson of Unityville; stepson, Jon M. L. (Fran) Sherwood, of Hughesville, and stepdaughter, Penny D. Sherwood, of Bakersfield, Calif.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Ronald E. Wilson; son, Randy E. Kimble.
