Elaine Ann Waltz
Elaine Ann Waltz, of 77 Heatherbrooke Estates, Muncy, went to be with the Lord Sunday, January 11, 2015 at the Williamsport Regional Medical Center.
Born February 10, 1946 in Hughesville, she was a daughter of the late Roy and Dorothy (Minier) Moyer. She was the beloved wife of David P. Waltz, who survives. Together they celebrated 26 years of marriage.
Elaine attended Hughesville High School and was a graduate of Pennsylvania College of Technology, where she received a degree in nursing. She worked for Susquehanna Health as a nurse on both the Williamsport and Muncy campuses.
Elaine was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Muncy, where she served on several committees and her presence will especially be mourned.
She volunteered at the Muncy Valley Hospital, American Cancer Society and the East Lycoming Historical Society. Elaine’s special gift of comforting, nurturing and teaching those around her will be greatly missed by family and friends alike.
Surviving in addition to her husband are two sons and daughters-in-law, Joseph and Teresa Watts and Geoffrey and Amanda Waltz, all of Williamsport; a daughter and son-in-law, Elisabeth and Michael Foley, of Levittown; a nephew, Mark Materne, of Reno, NV; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Elaine was predeceased by a sister, Sharon (Moyer) Materne and a son, James Watts, Jr.
A memorial service was held at 1 p.m. Friday January 16, at the First United Methodist Church, 602 S. Market St., Muncy, with the Rev. Arlene Beechert, officiating. A reception of friends followed the service in the church social hall.
The family provided the flowers and suggests memorial contributions be made to either the First United Methodist Church, 602 S. Market St., Muncy, PA 17756 or to a charity of one’s choice.
