Rancy Wagner
Rancy Wagner, 94, passed away Jan. 17, 2015, of natural causes. He was born in Muncy, on Oct. 27, 1920. He moved his family to Winter Haven, Fla., from Montoursville in 1959.
He was a master carpenter and building contractor, building homes in Montoursville and Winter Haven. He had Wagner’s Ice Cream truck. He worked on the construction of remodeling then Barnett Bank (now Bank of America) and was retained by the bank doing building maintenance until he retired in 1985.
In recent years, you could find him every weekend at Glenn Johnson’s Music Park at the flea market on US Highway 27 in Lake Wales, Fla., enjoying the country music and the many friends he made there.
Rancy was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Elizabeth (Betty) Wagner in 1999.
He is survived by his daughter, Evelyn Jean (Walter) Dix; grandsons, David (Nicole) Dix and Robert (Michelle) Dix; grandchildren, Jenna, Jensen and Colby Dix and Madison Caffee, all of Winter Haven. He was one of 10 children and is survived by one sister, Violet Wolfe, of Muncy, and many nieces and nephews.
