William L. Schmohl

William L. Schmohl 87, of 179 S. Fourth St., Hughesville, died Wednesday, Feb. 4, 2015, at the Gatehouse at Divine Providence Hospital. He was born in Williamsport on Sept. 18, 1927, the son of Lester B. and Edna E. Winner Schmohl.

William retired from Avco-Textron in 1987. He was a member of the UAW Local 787. William was a World War II Army veteran. His wife Mary preceded him in death in December of 2014.

He is survived by his daughter Shirley Hileman, with whom he resided. Also surviving are three grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.

The funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in Mount Union Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Susquehanna Home Health Care Hospice, C/O Susquehanna Foundation, 1001 Grampian Blvd., Williamsport.
