Barbara Wilson Taber

Barbara Wilson Taber, a resident of Muncy, age 88, died Tuesday, April 7, 2015, from mouth cancer at her home of 52 years.

Surviving are her husband Thomas, son, grandson, III, IV and V and granddaughter, Jessica Sahyouni. She had been the oldest member of the Y’s silver sneakers, the West Branch Chorale and her church choir. For 47 years, 1963-2010, she volunteered at the Williamsport Hospital weekly, driving to and from the hospital. The primary entrance area to the hospital carries her name as donor.

The visitation was Friday, April 10, 2015, at her home, 504 S. Main St., Muncy from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. A mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Saturday, April 11, 2015, at 11 a.m. from the Church of the Resurrection, 75 Musser Lane, Muncy, with the Rev. Glenn McCreary officiating. Interment was in the Muncy Cemetery.
