Kenneth Earl Snyder

Kenneth Earl Snyder, 78, of Hughesville, died June 15, 2015, at his home. He was born February 13, 1937, in Jersey Shore, a son of the late Kenneth Earl and Vivian Pauline (Moyer) Snyder. On June 12, 1958, he married Joanne E. McCoy, who survives.

Kenny was a member of the Lairdsville Faith Church. He graduated from Muncy High School, class of 1956. He retired from Lucas Trucking, Jersey Shore, in 1989. During his years of trucking, he had also driven for Agway Trucking, Hughesville and Klines Trucking, Millville. Kenney enjoyed playing horseshoes, traveling and hunting.

In addition to his wife of 57 years, Kenny is survived by a son, Earl E. Snyder, at home; two daughters, Carolyn B. Rooker, Edwardsville and Gail A. (Robert) Gauvin, Antrim, N.H.; three grandchildren, Michele C. (Gary Shaner) Snyder, Kingston, Renee Hoover, Selinsgrove, Jeanette (Shawn)Yeater, Lewistown; five great-grandchildren, Denee E. (Corey Caruthers) Snyder, Hanover Township, Damon J. Shaner, Kingston, Andreya J. Snyder, Kingston, Audrey and Bryson Yeater, Lewistown; two great-great-grandchildren, Cayden J. and Camdyn Caruthers, Hanover Township.; three brothers, Joseph Bruno, Westerly, R.I., Jerry Collins, Stonington, Conn. and Robert Fidler, Linden; and two sisters, Palm Ann Bruno, Conn. and Ann Holmes, York.

Kenny was preceded in death by a son, Harry Lee Snyder and a sister, Jeanie Fidler.

A graveside service will be held by Pastor Max L. Walters, Jr. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Lairdsville Faith Church.
