Stanley K. “Stan” Swartz

Stanley K. “Stan” Swartz, age 74, of Muncy, died Sunday, September 27, 2015 at Muncy Valley Hospital Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Muncy, PA.

Born January 2, 1941 in Muncy, he is the son of the late Carleton U. and Ethel A. (Charles) Swartz. He married Carol L. Bieber on October 7, 1962.

Stanley was employed as a third shift supervisor at the West Company, retiring in 1996. He also was a motor route carrier for the Williamsport Sun Gazette for 15 years. Stanley was a member and Deacon of the First Baptist Church, Elimsport, where he also held various positions. He was custodian of the First Baptist Church for several years retiring in 2006. Stanley enjoyed hunting, fishing, and gardening. He spent the winter months in Ocala, FL, and enjoyed taking family vacations each year to many different states.

Surviving in addition to his wife Carol are a daughter, Yvonne (Mark) Winters of Montgomery; a son, Randy (Kim) Swartz of Ocala, FL; a brother, William (Lois) Swartz of Millville, NJ; five grandchildren, Spc. Carleton Swartz, Ft. Bragg, NC, Sgt. Tyler Yeagle, Camp Lejeune, NC, 2nd Lt. Wilson Swartz, Ocala, FL, Taylor Yeagle, Montgomery, Nathan Winters, Montgomery, and two great grandchildren.

The funeral will be held at 11:00 a.m. today, Wednesday, September 30, 2015 at First Baptist Church, Elimsport, 16838 SR 44, Allenwood, with Pastor Todd Baker officiating. Burial will be in Green Lawn Memorial Park, Montgomery. Friends may call on Wednesday from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the church.
