Glenna J. Kepner Gardner

Glenna J. Kepner Gardner, 90, of Muncy, died Sunday July 4, 2016 at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville. Her husband of 59 years, Ralph G. Gardner preceded her in death on April 16, 2004.
Born January 27, 1926 in Penn Township, PA, she was the daughter of the late George H. and Stella V. (Snyder) Kepner. Glenna graduated 8th grade from McCarty School, a one room schoolhouse on Beaver Lake Road, Penn Township. She was a life member of the Muncy V.F.W., and a member of Muncy Valley Moose, Chapter 282 Order of the Eastern Star, GTE Sylvania Quarter Century Club, and the Moreland Baptist Church. Glenna was a former member of the western square dance club called the Swinging Bees and Honey. She enjoyed square dancing at Lairdsville and the Hughesville Legion. She also enjoyed cooking shows, going to reunions and family outings. Glenna was employed as a flashbulb inspector for 34 years at the former GTE Sylvania, Montoursville, PA.
Surviving are a daughter Nancy L. (Vincent) Gottschall Repaci of Hughesville; two grandsons Keith Solomon, Shane Gottschall; three granddaughters, Brenda Bock, Vicki Bixler, Holli Gottschall Bayonas; four great-grandchildren, Sarah and Evan Bock, Emma Bayonas, and Landon Gottshall; two brothers, Marlyn (Violet) Kepner, Clyde Kepner; and a sister, Esther Housknecht.
In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Connie J. Cole; a grandson, Dean Solomon, and five brothers, Ralph, Melvin, Oscar, Lewis, and Gerald Kepner, and three sisters, Grace Kepner, Claire Penta, and Thelma Burkhart.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday, July 12 at McCarty-Thomas Funeral Home, 557 E. Water Street, Hughesville, with Rev. Robert Ingraham officiating. Interment will be in Twin Hills Memorial Park, Muncy. Friends may call on Tuesday, from 12 to 1 p.m. at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Glenna’s name to the Moreland Baptist Church, 118 Moreland Baptist Road, Muncy, PA 17756.
