Ethel Klingerman passed away on August 9, 2016 at the Evergreens, Moorestown, New Jersey at the age of 87.
Ethel was born in Muncy, Pennsylvania, the daughter of the late Foster and Ida Klingerman. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Wayne. A graduate of Muncy High School she attended Wilson College and then earned a Masters Degree in Library Science from Drexel University. Ethel worked at the Wharton Business School at the University of Penn, the Public Library of Williamsport, PA, Eastern College and then the Moorestown Public Library where she served as a librarian and director for 28 years in total.
Ethel enjoyed reading, cross stitch embroidery, cooking and traveling. After moving to the Evergreens, Ethel served as the librarian and on the Resident Council as well as volunteering throughout the community as needed.
A memorial service will be celebrated at the Muncy Cemetery on Saturday, November 5, 2016 at 11 a.m. Members of the community are all welcome to attend in remembrance of Ethel. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Muncy Baptist Church in her name.
