Elsie Heberling

Elsie Heberling, 83, of Muncy, died Tuesday, January 17, 2017 at the Muncy Valley Hospital.

Born March 20, 1933 in Milton, she was a daughter of the late Harvey and Pearl (Lynn) Kemrer. She married the late Lynn H. Heberling, on March 22, 1952, and he preceded her in death on September 8, 2014.

Elsie was a member of the PA Grange, was active in the Girl Scouts, and was a member of the Muncy Baptist Church for over 50 years, where she sang in the choir and held various roles. She enjoyed a farming lifestyle, knitting, and above all, she loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Surviving are four daughters, Catherine A. (H. Randy) Brooks of Trout Run, Judith C. (Douglas) Stabler of Montoursville, Patricia M. (Brian) Ross of Sioux Falls, SD, and Brenda L. Blue of Colorado Springs, CO; a sister, Ethel Confer of South Avis; a brother, Robert (Mary) Kemrer of Dewart; 16 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; two great -great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Ralph and Richard Kemrer.

Funeral services were held 1 p.m. Saturday, January 21, at Muncy Baptist Church, 9 West Penn Street, Muncy, with Rev. Robert Rice officiating. Burial followed in Muncy Cemetery. Friends may call from 12 to 1 p.m. Saturday, at the church.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to music fund at Muncy Baptist Church, 9 West Penn St., Muncy, PA 17756.
