Ray McCarty

MCCARTY, Ray, 85, of Midlothian, departed this life on February 23, 2017. He was preceded in death by his wife, Frankie McCarty; also his parents, Lewis and Edna McCarty.

Mr. McCarty was born in Muncy, Pa. He leaves a daughter, Michele Wilson (Doug); son, Michael McCarty (Eva); one grandson, Adam; three granddaughters, Megan, Samantha and Sydney; as well as his long time companion, Thelma Chenault.

He served in the U.S. Air Force. Ray was employed by Sprout Waldron for 25 years, and retired from Southern States as a project engineer. He was a member of the Shriners, VFW and the American Legion. Ray loved bowling, hunting and walking. He was never without a smile, and enjoyed life. Loved by many and missed by all, may Ray fill heaven with his radiance.

The family received friends Monday, February 27, 2017, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Mechanicsville Chapel of the Bennett Funeral Home, 8014 Lee-Davis Rd. A graveside service is planned at Muncy Cemetery, Muncy Pa., Saturday, March 18, 2017 at 11:00 a.m.
