Phyllis Balliet Odell

Phyllis Balliet Odell, 87, Hughesville, died Tuesday, May 9, 2017 at Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Muncy.

Born August 30, 1929 in Milton, she was a daughter of the late Domer F. and Kathryn S. (Tate) Balliet. She married the late, William Odell who preceded her in death December 27, 2009.

Phyllis was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Hughesville. She enjoyed watching Penn State Football and golf, but above all she loved spending time with her family.

She is survived by two daughters, Karyn Yagel of South Williamsport and Lynne (Denny) Snyder of Montoursville; a brother, Ralph Balliet of Muncy; and a grandson, Ryan Petersen of South Williamsport.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Robert, Donald, Jack, and Jim Balliet; and one sister, Kay Wertz.

Funeral services were held 11 a.m. Saturday, May 13 at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, 122 South Main Street, Hughesville, PA with Rev. Cinda J. Brucker officiating. Burial followed in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Hughesville.
