Aberdean (Taylor) Kurtz

Long time resident of Naugatuck CT, Aberdean (Taylor) Kurtz passed away peacefully on May 22, 2017 in Milton PA. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, William James Kurtz and her son, Vernon James Kurtz, a sister Doris Altemose and a brother, Sterling (Bud) Taylor. She leaves behind her brother, Bernard Taylor of Germantown, TN and her sister, Ethel (Taylor) Stover of Payson, AZ, four nephews and seven nieces.

Aberdean was born in Muncy, PA on May 29, 1920 to Aaron and Violet Taylor. The family moved to Montgomery in 1934 and she graduated from Montgomery Area High School in 1938. She worked in the Chemical Dept. of the Ordinance Depot until the end of WWII, then went to work in the Chemical Dept. of the Uniroyal Rubber Plant in Naugatuck. She married William in 1945 and was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Naugatuck.

Those who knew Aberdean always thought of her as a loving, gentle soul. She is at peace now with her family in heaven.

Funeral services were conducted on Saturday, May 27, 2017 with Reverend Arlene P. Beechert, pastor of the First United Methodist Church of Muncy, officiating. Interment was in the Muncy Cemetery.
