Thomas M. “Tom” Springman

Thomas M. “Tom” Springman, 74, of Muncy, died Friday, July 27, 2018 at his home surrounded by his family. He married the former Connie H. Hill on June 27, 1965, and together they celebrated 53 years marriage.

Born October 23, 1943 in Muncy, he was the son of the late Thomas L. and Grace E. “Betty” (McClain) Springman. He was a graduate of Muncy High School Class of 1961 where he was recently honored with the Distinguished Alumni Award for 2018. Tom was a 1965 graduate of Lycoming College where he played football and received his degree in Business. He was a third generation partner in Economy Locker Storage Company, Inc. (The Country Store) of Pennsdale. Tom enjoyed many treasured moments spending time with his family and friends. He also spent many days fishing and making memories on the St. Lawrence River in Canada. In retirement, Tom and his wife Connie enjoyed traveling and attending festivals where they shared their passion for roasting and selling German Roasted Nuts. In recent years, he shared many hunting adventures with dear friends and family.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Kristine A. (Jo?e) Rosario of Muncy; a son, Thomas M. II (Bobby Jo) Springman, of Forksville; 12 grandchildren, Jalyssa Holman, Jacob, Autumn, Isaac, and Elijah Harris, Joshua and Samuel Rosario, Sophia, Elizabeth, Anna, Thomas III, and Robert Springman; and one great granddaughter, Elliana Holman.

In addition to his parents, Tom was preceded in death by a sister Judith Ann Ruth.

A memorial service will be held 12 p.m. Saturday, August 4 at Trinity United Methodist Church, 658 Village Rd., Pennsdale, PA. Visitation will be from 10 to 12 p.m. Saturday, at the church prior to the memorial service. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
