Louise R. Wertman

Louise R. Wertman, age 90, a resident of Berkeley Square passed away January 7, 2019 at Berkeley Square.

She was born on September 17, 1928 in Williamsport, Pennsylvania the daughter of Donald C. and Rhea Annie (Guinter) Bair. She graduated from Muncy High School and later Lycoming College.

On September 20, 1946 in Muncy Methodist Church she married C. Gordon Wertman. Her greatest joy was teaching English at Muncy High School and coaching the bowling team from 1963-1983. She was a member of the Shandon Congregational Church in Shandon, Ohio.

She is survived by her son, Daniel (Susan) Wertman; two granddaughters Sara (Dustin) Worland and Emily (John) Schmitt; one great granddaughter, Chloe Schmitt; and sisters, Beverly, Connie, and Linda. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her infant son, Charles Gordon Wertman Jr.; and one sister, Mildred.

Private family services will be held at a later date. The family would like to thank the staff at Berkeley Square where she resided for the last 7 years and Hospice of Cincinnati.
