Robert “Warby” Warburton

Robert “Warby” Warburton, 62, of Hughesville, passed away Monday, January 14, 2019 at Geisinger Medical Center.

Born March 21, 1956 in Muncy, he was the son of Robert L. and the late Dorothy C. (Rogers) Warburton.

Warby was a 1974 graduate of Hughesville High School, where he lettered in wrestling and football. He then went on to graduate from Willliamsport Area Community College. Warby retired from ACF Industries, and worked for his family ‘s plumbing business. He enjoyed Penn State athletics, golfing, hunting, high school wrestling and coaching his children in youth sports. He was a member the Roaring Run Rod and Gun Club and the Muncy Valley Moose. Above all, he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.

In addition to his father, he is survived by three children, Brooke L. (Brian) Anstadt, Rachael M. Warburton, and Adam R. Warburton all of Hughesville; and three grandchildren, Allison, Connor, and Ella Anstadt.

Funeral services were held 12:00 p.m. Friday, January 18 at McCarty-Thomas Funeral Home, 557 E. Water Street, Hughesville, with Rev. Thomas Holmes officiating. Friends called from 11a.m. to 12 p.m. Friday, at the funeral home.
