Kenneth F. “Ken” Fry

Kenneth F. “Ken” Fry, 74, of Pennsdale, died Wednesday, March 13, 2019 at the Muncy Valley Hospital Skilled Nursing Unit.

Born September 29, 1944 in Muncy, he was a son of the late Raymond and Helen (Frost) Fry. On Feb. 2, 1991 he married the former Linda Haynes, who survives. Together they celebrated 28 years of marriage.

Ken was a 1962 graduate of Muncy High School and a 1967 graduate of Penn State University. He served as a Staff Sgt. in the U.S. Army from 1969 to 1970 with the 29th Infantry Division, during the Vietnam War and earned a bronze star. Ken began his career with an accounting firm in Philadelphia and went on to manage a business in Toledo, OH. He then returned to Muncy where he was the co-owner of Fry’s Plastic, Muncy.

Ken was a former member of the Eagle’s Mere Country Club. He loved hunting and was an avid Penn State and Pittsburgh Steelers football fan.

Surviving in addition to his wife are one brother, John Fry; one sister, Susan Keller; three stepchildren, Leslie Kepner, Stephanie Budman and Jeffrey Haynes; and four nieces and nephews, Stacy Fry, Jamie Fry Worthington, Ty Fry and Matthew Keller.

Friends were received from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Grenoble’s, 121 S. Main St., Muncy and from noon to 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Trinity United Methodist Church, 658 Village Rd., Pennsdale, where the memorial service was held at 1 p.m. with Pastor Kevin St. Martin, officiating.

The family provided the flowers and suggests memorial contributions in Ken’s name be made to either the Kenneth F. Fry Memorial Scholarship Fund, c/o Muncy Bank and Trust, 2 North Main St. Muncy, PA 17756, or to Pennsdale Friends Meeting (Quaker Church), PO Box 166, Muncy, PA 17756.
