Anna F. Weakling, 95, of Muncy, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 5, 2019 at Geisinger Medical Center Danville PA.
She was born March 9, 1924 in Crucible PA the daughter of the late Nazareno and Genevieve Salvati Fiore.
She was married to the late Thomas W. Weakland who preceded her in death on August 2, 1982. They were married January 8, 1946.
Anna was a dedicated and devoted wife, mother and grandmother.Throughout her life, she loved deeply, playfully and widely.Her faith, kindness and generosity were legendary and backed by a never-ending strength. Her family was at the heart of all she did and gave her much delight in her lifetime.
Anna was known for having a sharp mind and boundless energy. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, jitterbug music and gardening. Anna was a classy dresser with vibrant colors from morning until night no matter what she was doing.
One of her greatest gifts to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren was her unconditional love for them. She leaves behind many who are immensely thankful for her presence in their lives.
She is survived by three grandsons; Daniel T. Gray and his wife Joann of Danville PA; Scott B. Gray and his wife Nicole of Jacksonville, North Carolina and Walter R. Gray and his wife Tracey of Bellevue, Nebraska and one granddaughter; Becky Giannelli and her husband Thomas of Camp Hill PA.
Also surviving are 10 great-grandchildren; Jazz, Rayne, Tru, Sol, Ki, Paige, Stephen, Sarah, Riley and Virginia and three great-great grandchildren; Adam, Garrett and Braylon.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Rhoda Ann Gray October 10, 2015. Also preceding her death were four sisters and seven brothers.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, October 18, 2019 at 11 a.m.at St. Joseph Catholic Church 68 Center Street Danville, with the Reverend Augustine Joseph as Celebrant.
Burial will be private at Arlington National Cemetery Arlington VA.
The family will provide flowers. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. This can be done online at stjude.org.
