Michael L. Lyon
Michael L. Lyon, 71, of Montoursville, died Feb. 14, 2020, at his residence.
He was born May 28, 1948, in Williamsport, a son of the late Dr. Edward and Mary (Cochran) Lyon.
Michael attended Franklin & Marshall College and graduated from Lycoming College. He previously owned Lyon Concrete and he and his wife, the former Betzi Morris, owned Lyon Camping. He was a life member of Grays Run Hunting Club, was a PADI Divemaster and enjoyed diving with his Barmar scuba friends. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Martha Fabian; a brother, Robert Lyon; and a nephew, Teddy Lyon.
Surviving are his wife; a daughter, Jennie (Greg) Weitzel, of Las Vegas, Nevada; a son, Zach Lyon, of Reno, Nevada; a brother, retired USN Captain Edward (Judy) Lyon, of Jersey Shore; sister-in-law, Patti Lyon, of North Carolina; three grandchildren, Virginia and Ashley Weitzel, and Xavier Lyon; and five nieces and nephews, Avis Stettinius, Andy Lyon, Tim, Kathy, and Tad Fabian.
Michael donated his remains to Humanity Gifts and a memorial receiving of friends will be held from 12:30 until 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 29, at Spitler Funeral Home, 733 Broad Street, Montoursville.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to Indian Park Master Plan Playground, 617 N. Loyalsock Avenue, Montoursville, PA 17754, or a charity of one’s choice.
