Weather cooperates for LL opening day

Opening ceremonies for Muncy Little League were held Saturday morning at the Keiss Field Complex.
MUNCY – Nice weather made Saturday a welcoming event for the opening day ceremonies for Muncy Little League at the Keiss Field Complex. Muncy Little League was founded in 1947 and has been a yearly community event ever since. After the National Anthem was sung and the township supervisors and board members were introduced, Pastor Rob Ranson gave an invocation.
Keynote speaker Denny Harer threw out the first ball after he recognized donations made by J.P. Mascaro & Sons and White Pines Landfill who contributed funds for Muncy Little League to purchase a new score board. Money for a new sign was donated by Clarks Trucking, LLC Northeast division.
Afterwards the following teams were introduced with their managers and coaches.
T-Ball Teams are: Citizen and Northern Bank managed by Nicole Meyer, Muncy Rotary managed by Mike Diehl, Fry’s Plastic managed by Alicia Bennett, Lycoming Valley Homes managed by Steve Hill.
The Coach Pitch Team is Murray Mazda managed by Matt Eyer, and the Softball Minor League team is ADS managed by Jamie Fry.
Baseball Minor League Teams are Ecks managed by Scott McClean, Lowes Great Value managed by Mat Meyer, Winters Insurance Agency, managed by Tom Barberio, and Youngs Industries managed by Chirs Hann.
Major League Softball Teams are Best Line Leasing managed by Scott Myers, and Muncy Lions managed by Bob Warburton.
The Major League Baseball Teams are American Legion managed by John Brink, Muncy Bank managed by Gabe Gush, and Murray Motors managed by Brian Kustanbauter.
The Junior Baseball Teams are Pepsi managed by Troy Sellers and Grenoble’s Funeral Home managed by Corey Palmatier.
Fundraising manager, Janine Alpaugh gave each of the supervisors a new Little League baseball cap.
