Spartan cheerleaders going from “GREEN TO BLUE TO PINK”

The Hughesville High School cheerleading squad attended camp at Penn State University during the week of July 22 through 24. The squad earned several awards which included first place in Dance Division; second place in cheer; and was awarded the Counselors Choice Award for Outstanding Squad at camp. They also received the Spirit Cheer Bear which was presented every day.
The cheerleaders will be participating in the upcoming events: PINK OUT-scheduled for Oct. 21 (home football game against Montoursville). The squad will be raffling off a PINK Longenberger basket. Tickets will be sold at all home games along with other PINK items to buy such as hats, sweatshirts and other assorted clothing items.
The squad will also be participating and raising money for the “Making Strides” walk on Oct. 22 at Indian Park, Montoursville. For more information on the walk, go to Making Strides.com. You can also go on that website and join and/or donate to the team, the Hughesville High School Cheerleaders.
