Troy Hembury, a junior at Muncy High School, won his 100th match at the North Penn Tournament this past weekend. Troy also competed at Fargo, ND this past summer and became a double All-American in Greco and Freestyle in the Cadet Division.

Nine of the 14 bouts last Thursday evening in Warrior Run were decision victories, including eight of the first nine bouts of the night. It wasn’t until the lightweights that Defenders turned an 18-12 deficit into a win. Eric Hunt (106 pounds) and Darrin Heddings (120) earned falls for the Defenders and Brian LeBarron picked up a technical fall. Those three bonus-point wins for the Defenders were the only ones they had. Hughesville had just two bonus-point wins.

Just Kyle Barnes’ fall at 145 pounds in the second bout produced bonus points for the Hughesville team.
