Muncy baseball wins opener
Trailing in the fourth inning last Wednesday in Muncy’s season opener against Millville, the Indians’ offense took off with two-out runs to tie the game and didn’t stop there as they scored a total of 12 runs in that inning beating Millville, 14-4.
Muncy recorded seven hits in the 12-run fourth inning. Anthony Barberio and Jeff Scott got the inning started with back-to-back singles. T.J. Moyle stepped up to the plate hitting a double to center field to tie up the game.

Montgomery beats rival Muncy
Montgomery baseball picked up a 5-1 win against rival Muncy last Thursday .
Alex Worthington struck out 11 players and allowed just two hits on 105 pitches. Worthington also put the score on the board first as he gave his team a 2-0 lead when he smacked a homerun over the left-center field.

Spartan baseball defeated in opener

South Williamsport defeated Hughesville, 10-0 in five innings this past Saturday morning in their season opener Billy Rummings threw a one-hit complete-game in his first varsity start while Zach Staver, Tyler House and Zach Welter each had two two hits.
The Spartans had bases loaded in the top of the first but were left stranded as Rummings threw his second of his eight strikeouts.
Hughesville’s Jeremiah McCarty was the only Spartan to get a hit which prevented Rummings from throwing a no-hitter. Starting pitcher Sadiq Burkholder struck out eight Mounties in three innings.
