The Muncy Indian football season came to an end last Friday night as the team fell to Marian Catholic in the first round of the Eastern Conference Division I playoffs.

The Colts put the score on the board first after the opening kickoff when Nico Agosti had a 56-yard return to the Indians’ 25-yard line. The Colts scored seven plays later, 6-0. The Indians scored next after a fourth-down defensive pass interference penalty when Anthony Barberio ran it into the end zone from 10 yards out to cap off Muncy’s first drive.

The Colts regained the lead after just two plays when Kuczynski connected with Agosti for a 40-yard touchdown to give Marian Catholic the lead for the remainder of the game. Marian Catholic extended the lead to 14 less than halfway through the second quarter. Muncy’s Dakota Nixon scored in the beginning of the second half making the score, 20-14.

The Muncy offense had only two yards in the 4th quarter while Marian scored its final touchdown of the game.
