RUTH FRY/The Luminary Muncy football players and cheerleaders surround the "Old Shoe Trophy" following their 64-6 win over the Red Raiders.

Muncy 64, Montgomery 6

With less than eight minutes into the game Dakota Nixon ran 34 yards up the right side of the field for the second touchdown of the night as the Indians claimed the “Old Shoe” for the 10th year in a row defeating the Red Raiders, 64-6.

By the end of the first half Nixon rushed for 126 yards on 11 carries scoring four touchdowns, and reached 1,000 yards on the season and posted his eighth-straight game with a 100-yards.

In the air wide receiver Maurice Brown also performed as he hit a milestone of his own with three catches putting his total career receptions over 100. Brown also grabbed a fumble just two minutes into the second quarter and took it 57 yards for a touchdown.

Even though the Red Raiders lost, Zach Shadle had something to celebrate as he reached 1,000 yards rushing on the season, and is the first player to do so since Eric Segraves in 2002. Shadle finished the game with 60 yards on seven carries while teammate, Keith Habersham rushed for 47 on 10 carries.
