Muncy Grapplers defeat Southern

RUTH FRY/The Luminary Scott Appleman, Muncy, won the 220 weight class for the Indians defeating Southern Columbia's Andrew Bell, 7-5.

Muncy defeated No. 8 ranked Southern Columbia, 40-33, last Thursday night. Andy Aguilar won by injury default at 132 against last year’s state runner-up, Todd Lane, after he separated his shoulder in the middle of the match. At 220, Scott Appleman edged his opponent, 7-5, and Jacob Dgien, Abien Barry, Cam Good, and Nick Roberts all had pins for the Indians while Angelo Barberio won by a major decision.
