Indians dominate CMVT

The Indians scored six touchdowns in the first half defeating CMVT, 42-14, on Homecoming night in Muncy. Volby Alpaugh led the Indians on the ground rushing for 62 yards on nine carries while scoring two touchdowns. Coleman Good ended the night with three completions and had 118 passing yards and two touchdown passes. Jeff Fry was 2 for 61, and Austin Kessler 2 for 66 both scoring a touchdown along with Adam Dietrick. Kolby Moyer was 3 for 6 with a passing touchdown.

Spartans stop Central

Hughesville 47, Central Columbia 28

Hughesville led 20-13 after the first quarter and was tied 20-20 at the half, but the defense stifled the Blue Jays in the second half as the Spartans defeated Central, 47-28.

Quarterback Landon Henry ran for 195 yards and three touchdowns, and completed 13 of his 20 passes for 187 yards and three touchdowns. Hughesville had a total of 541 yards of offense. The Spartans defense held Central Columbia to 207 total yards in the win. Wide receiver Brenden Gardner finished with 196 yards on eight passes including two touchdowns.

Red Raiders fall to Canton

Canton 33, Montgomery 15

The Red Raiders fell to Canton, 33-15, Friday night in Montgomery and dropped out of the race for a spot in the playoffs. Montgomery’s defense forced a three-and-out in the first two plays of the game, but after it took possession of the ball, the Red Raiders offense fumbled, and Canton scored one play later on a 5-yard run. Montgomery followed that touchdown when Hunter Budman took the the kickoff back 85 yards towards into the end zone but the play was called back on an illegal block in the back. Later in the first half Budman took the handoff on fourth-and-3, and scored 39 yards later. The Raiders scored their second touchdown of the night when Brayden Strouse threw a 20-yard pass to Trevor Kennedy.
