Montgomery 43, Bucktail 0

Montgomery’s Caden Dyer and Tyler Shadle each had an interception for the Red Raiders as they shutout Bucktail, 43-0. Hunter Budman rushed for 165 yards in the win. Eithan Marino had two rushing touchdowns, as the Raiders held a 266-84 yards advantage over Bucktail. The Bucks had 34 rushing yards on 35 carries.

Spartans win rival game

Hughesville 41, Muncy 15

Hughesville had a slow start in the first half but dominated in the third and fourth quarter defeating the Indians, 41-15. Brenden Gardner led the Spartans in receiving with 95 yards and two touchdowns. Quarterback Landon Henry hit 11 of his 20 pass for 188 yards, three passing touchdowns, two of them to Gardner and one of those passes went to Ori Shaner to his left as he broke away from two Muncy defenders finding his way to the end zone. Gavin Steele ended with 72 rushing yards on 23 carries, all but four of them coming in the second half. The Spartans finished the game with three interceptions, Ryan McClain, Ori Shaner, and Kade Heckel.

Michael Kustanbauter led Muncy in the air with 45 yards on two catches while Colby Alpaugh led on the ground finishing with 43 yards on 13 carries. Quarterback Coleman Good rushed for 43 yards and a touchdown. Muncy had several interceptions and also lost three of the fumbles. Those turnovers led to four Hughesville touchdowns.
