RUTH FRY/The Luminary Muncy travelled to Hughesville Saturday night as both teams kicked off their season opener. The Spartans came out on top defeating the Indians, 61-42. Above, both teams try to gain control of the ball.

Taylor Mason led the Spartans with 15 points and 11 rebounds as Hughesville defeated Muncy, 61-42, in their season-opener. Landon Henry scored 14 and and had seven assists while Ryan McClain finished with 13. Muncy was led by Jeff Fry scoring 27 points, including five 3-pointers.
