RUTH FRY/The Luminary Hughesville's Jacob Corson threw four innings in relief and earned his first win as the Spartans defeated Montgomery, 11-7.

Hughesville freshman, Jacob Corson, threw four innings in relief and earned his first win as the Spartans defeated Montgomery, 11-7. Hughesville built a 7-0 second-inning lead, scoring six runs in the top of the second. Montgomery, however, scored six runs in the second and made it a one-run game before Corson came in to relieve. All nine starters from both teams made it to base at least one time.

Millville 10, Muncy 2

The Indians suffered a loss in their season opener to Millville, 10-2. Coleman Good had two hits and an RBI for Muncy while Caleb Smith went 1-3 and scored a run.
