With a third-place finish at the District 4 Class AA meet in the 800 meters, Hughesville’s Autumn Avery headed to the state tournament this past weekend in Shippensburg after a scratch in the event that allowed Avery to get a spot. Above, Avery, a Hughesville senior, took a spot on the podium placing eighth in the 800 with a time of 2:19.88.
