Hunter Budman ran for a career-high 192 yards and scored three touchdowns, and Ethan Marino added 93 more yards as Montgomery pounded Cowanesque Valley, 27-6. The defensive line allowed just 136 yards on their home turf.
Montgomery led the whole game going into half time with a 21-6 lead Montgomery and finished the night rushing for 352 yards. Quarterback Brayden Strouse ran for 37 yards on just three carries.

Spartans defeat Wildcats
Hughesville 31, CM 13
The Hughesville Spartans defeated the Wildcats on the road Friday night, 31-13. Jase Wright ran 160 rushing yards and two touchdowns. Seventeen of his 30 carries were in the first half. Hughesville’s first 13 plays of the game were runs by Wright, scoring on a 4-yard touchdown run early in the second quarter to put Hughesville up 7-0 over the Wildcats. Brody Heller ended the quarter to make it 10-6 heading into halftime.
In the second half Hughesville’s Gavin Steele had a 21-yard touchdown, and Wright’s second touchdown was 1-yard run to extend Hughesville’s lead 24-6. The Spartans offense totaled 243 rushing yards. Quarterback Ori Shaner capped off the night after running for a touchdown on a quarterback sneak.

Indians win again
Muncy 31, Troy 21
Muncy won again last Friday night at home and is now 2-0 heading into Week 3 as they defeated Troy 31-21.
Troy scored early when it went 65 yards down the field in six plays, but Muncy came back taking the ball 60 yards and scored two minutes later when Colby Alpaugh rushed on the outside for a 19-yard touchdown. Alpaugh ran for 136 yards on 25 carries and 2 touchdowns, while Michael Kustanbauter added 25 yards and a touchdown. Coleman Good had 28 rushing yards. Dylan Wilt also scored in the second with a two-yard touchdown after connecting with Good.
