Indians win D4 title

Muncy boys basketball team closed the door on Northeast Bradford to capture the District 4 Class AA title. The Indians won the game with everyone contributing to the cause. Nate Paisley and Noah Rymsza both scored 18 points, while Matt Coyner recorded a double-double. All eight players took their turn in contributing in the win defeating Northeast Bradford by 12 points, 52-39. This district title is the first since 2004 and Head Coach Jason Gresh’s first.

The Indians (17-7) won just the fifth district championship in program history and earned a spot in this Saturday’s first round of the state tournament which will be held at Williamsport high school at 4:30 p.m.

Dylan Wilt hit a 3-pointer and grabbed seven first-half rebounds, and Kolby Moyer, Kyle Lenhart, and Jordan Yaple played tough defense stopping the Panthers as they made just 14 of 46 shots.
