Dylan Bieber and Carter Cowburn in scored in the double digits with 10 and 11 respectively but South came out on top defeating the Spartans, 55-40.

Northumberland Christian 71, Montgomery 70

Logan Almeida had a career-high in points scoring 32 points, but Montgomery was edged, 71-70. Almeida hit five 3-pointers and Gavin Moore finished with his own career-high scoring 15 points.

Bill Babcock Tournament

Hughesville 45, Sullivan County 41

HUGHESVILLE-Hughesville played its second game in less than eight hours to defeat the soon-to-be tournament champions, Sullivan County, 45-41. Carter Cowburn made three straight free throws in the final 40 seconds, grabbed three rebounds in the last minute and also blocked a layup in the final game of the Bill Babcock Tournament that was previously scheduled to be played over the Christmas break. The Spartans had played Jersey Shore earlier in the day in a 66-56 overtime loss.

All three teams went 1-1 in the round robin tournament, so Sullivan County won the championship based on the points differential tie-breaker. It edged out Jersey Shore and Hughesville following three close games determined by 22 combined points. Cowburn and Dylan Bieber earned all-tournament honors.

Mikey Dylina played strong defense for Hughesville and collected six rebounds while Nick Trevouledes scored eight points and dealt three assists.
