Muncy 31, South Williamsport 20

Linemen Isaac Harris, Xander Brown, Gavin Hillman, Adam Rosario, Ken Hampe and tight end Bailey Hadzinikolov allowing a 78-yard drove as Muncy defeated the Mounties, 31-20, following a four-point game with 4 minutes, six seconds remaining. The Indians (6-1) remain undefeated in the NTL-II.

Ty Nixon, Branson Eyer and Austin Johnson totaled 333 yards rushing as Eyer (151) and Nixon (105) each went over 100 yards and Johnson added 77. Nixon’s 43-yard run sealed the win with his 4-yard touchdown run with 16.6 seconds remaining. Chase Crawley gave the Indians a 14-6 second-quarter lead. Eyer produced three touchdowns and his 53-yard scoring run gave Muncy a 21-6 halftime lead. Loudon Boring field goal made it a 24-13 lead early in the fourth quarter.

Muncy threw just six times, but all three completions were big ones. Ross Eyer made a leap to catch a 35-yarder on a 3rd-and-13, and Crawley making a sliding catch for 24-yard touchdown.

Muncy leads all area teams in rushing, going over 2,000 yards.

Bloomsburg 20, Hughesville 5

Hughesville trailed Bloomsburg early in the fourth quarter, 7-2, and got the ball back following a safety with 1):18 to play, but the Panthers picked off the Spartans and returned it for a touchdown in their in their 20-5 loss to Bloomsburg. Josh Heiney kicked a field goal for Hughesville with 49 seconds remaining to give the Spartans three more points. Hughesville was held to 50 yards of total offense.

Canton 48, Montgomery 6

Canton stopped the Red Raiders handing them a minus-40 rushing loss as they were defeated by the Warriors, 48-6. Montgomery was held to a total of 100 yards of total offense. In the loss, Logan Almeida threw for 140 yards and a touchdown.
