District 4 Class AA Quarterfinals

Muncy 65, Sayre 34

Muncy scored 20 points in the first quarter and 25 in the second leading 45-17 lead by halftime against Sayre in the District 4 Class AA playoffs. Ross Eyer scored 14 points, Branson Eyer scored 13 and Noah Confer scored 11 as Muncy had seven players score in their 65-34 win. The Indians will face second-seeded Northwest in the district semifinals. Results were not available at press time.

In the District 4 Class AAA quarterfinals, North Penn-Mansfield defeated Hughesville, 66-44. In the loss the Spartans were led by Josh Heiney’s 15 points, Luke Kaiser’s 12 and Dylan Bieber’s 10.

Line Mountain 41, Muncy 33

Avery Bigelow scored a game-high 15 points including two three-pointers, but Line Mountain got the win defeating the Muncy girls last Tuesday night, 41-33, and ending their season in the District 4 Class AA quarterfinals. Nolah Moyer finished the game with 8 points and Mia Edkin added 8 in the loss.
